The Importance of Honesty and Trustworthiness

 

The prominent theme of honesty and trustworthiness in Crow Country has lead me to reflect on the importance of this value in my life. I admire and connected with Sadie’s honesty to her friend Walter as it reminded me of how I am with my friends. In my experiences with friendships honesty and trustworthiness are essential qualities I appreciate in a friend as it allows me to understand them better and for our relationship to grow, strengthen and improve. In a friendship I had in primary school, we were not entirely honest with each other and as a result we didn’t feel as comfortable expressing our feelings to each other as much as we should have. The lack of these qualities strained our friendship and didn’t encourage an open and healthy relationship.
